UK Tenancy Agreements Guide

Why Make A Tenancy Agreement?

A tenancy agreement can be prepared by either the Landlord, a solicitor or a letting agent. It is a legally binding agreement between the tenant and landlord and should state details of the rent, the length of the tenancy and both the tenant's and landlord's responsibilities.

If you are a Landlord or a Tenant, having a written agreement between you is vital, because thing can happen, and problems do arise, and its always nice to know where you stand, and to also have the backing of a legal document should things really go bad.

This document is binding, and both parties must stick to it, else face the consequences, which usually mean that either party can end the agreement at any time, if any of the stipulations are broken or not adhered to.
